The Japanese Alphabet
There are two ways to express the Japanese alphabet. The one is "平仮名、ひらがな"
explained in the previous page. It has the Japanese original forms. The other is "片仮
名、カタカナ" of which forms are taken from parts of Chinese characters. The follow-
ing is the conversion table.
